2009 National Meeting
The annual national meeting of the churches of Christ in Honduras met in Catacamas this year.
Every year they must meet according to government regulations.
It is similar to how churches must have a business meeting in the states to meet state regulations.
While the main purpose is to satisfy government regulation and each congregation is totally autonomous, it is a good time of fellowship. Preachers and leaders from all over the country converge to meet at the city chosen at the previous meeting.
This year they chose to meet in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras on August 29th.
The MPRC was able to assist this gathering by housing 13 preachers in the Center. Another family, the Noe Perezes, stayed at the Tomkinses. We also have some photos of the gathering, which met at the church building of the church of Christ in Barrio El Colegio.
A number of leaders from Olancho were chosen as leaders of the organization for this year.
- Davíd Chacón, President
- Geovany Moreno, Vice President
- Hugo Espinal, Treasurer
- Carlos Carbajal, Secretary
- Enrique Pagoada, Representative of the Dto de Olancho
- Armando Pacheco, Fiscal
